I'm glad you had a good Christmas.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> So are you originally from Portugal? I would figure it would be hard to meet everybody you wanted to at the Gathering. It was huge! If only I could have gone. Maybe the next one they have.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Christmas wasn't all that special for me. We didn't have a tree up or anything so it didn't really feel like Christmas to me. My parents and I went over to some family's house and ate dinner with them and hung out for a while. We did make margaritas after dinner which made everyone feel better.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> Basically, I was missing Iavas. It's hard to have someone you love 4,000 miles away on a special day like that.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> We did get to talk on the phone though which did help. Tonight, my comp will be keeping me company.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0> I haven't really done much for any of the holidays. Maybe next year.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> I hope all in the Parlour have a wonderful New Years!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Eru : I am sorry that it wasnt that festive for you but I do understand that you must be missing lavas like crazy .. personally I just couldnt do it - my hubby and I were apart at the beginning of our relationship but he was only 140 odd miles away so we could always see each other at weekends .. being that far apart must be murder and I take my hat off to you both <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Dave : re Liverpool .. well at the moment it is not looking good. basically I pushed myself too hard with the Gathering and with Christmas and am feeling extremely tired. Getting up 3 days a week at 5.50am is not helping and this baby is far more energy draining than William was. Hubby is really not happy for me to go when I will be almost 33 weeks, especially driving up all that way, so it is looking like I am going to have to pull out <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> .. I will be mailing Darin and co tonight to let them know .. and posting on the thread of course .. trust me no one is more upset than me .. but this baby is more important I am afraid !

But I'll echo Ben in that the baby is more important. You need to take care of yourself and the baby and if a long trip wouldn't help, then you shouldn't go. It's still such a shame though. Teherin: Hopefully you'll be able to make it to the next moot then. Actually I will be coming near London. I'm flying into and departing from Gatwick. But, I do believe that Iavas and me were going to spend a day or two in London so I can do the tourist/sightseeing thing. I really can't say for sure, but maybe meeting for a lunch might work? It's a possibility.
