Hobbituk came in and bid outright the maximum price for a date with the peredhil.

The first date was brilliantly set up by Vanaladiel, Aerin, Leoba and the other barmaids of the Lucky Fortune Inn, creating a romantic atmosphere that guaranteed chemistry between the two diminuitive creatures. Afterwards, they went for a walk around the LFI, Lurea pushing Hobbi into the pool beside the waterfall. After splashing about, they stopped, staring into each other's eyes, Hobbi asking Lurea to be his Lady. By the time they had returned to the Inn, both were soaked and eliciting strange looks.

It was at the Roodmas Festival that Hobbi challenged Manwe beneath the stars in the still chilly air as he held Lurea. From then on, they had flour fights, fun cooking in the LFI kitchen, and bantering lovingly as they worked, forgetting completely about the challenge.

Then came Maelan, the Maia, who--under Manwe's orders--had come to show the hobbit the results of his challenge to the Valar. He put a spell on Lurea, making her trail after him, ignoring Hobbi. Hobbituk however, would not stand for it and fought the Maia bravely for his Lady back. He won at long last, but not without nearly losing his life. For weeks he was unconscious, fighting a battle against death, with Lurea by his side, freed from the spell, and fearing the worst. Guilt seized her cold heart and she blamed herself for everything. When he finally awoke, which happened to be the day of his birthday, everyone rejoiced. It was a while before he was back to his usual cooking of the stew, but as most hobbits, he was a fast healer.

However, a rift had opened between the couple as Lurea could not release herself from guilt's steel grip. When Hobbituk made a statement that was in itself innocent, Lurea took it as him blaming her for his injuries. For days the couple did not speak, both pained and bedridden in their agony.

Then the LongAwaited Bard's Festival came. Lurea arrived early and sat in the darkness for most of the party. Hobbituk came late and, not seeing her, became depressed. Friends came to console him, but it took a mutual friend, Tinu, to finally get them to speak to one another. After confessing what had been on their minds, Hobbi knelt on one knee and asked Lurea to be his wife. She acknowledged this happily and they merrily spent the remainder of the party holding one another as though they would never see each other again. They are currently planning their wedding for November.

Despite the sudden shock at the thought that this will make me into Hobbi's 'virtual-adoptive-mother-in-law' <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> it's going to be fun - especially the chance to see Eari in a dress again. He he he.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Lurea, I'm honoured to be involved and I can hopefully be a bit more useful than just helping the bride to look beautiful on the big day.

I can certainly sort the drinks out if you like - I know a very good wine-merchant's within a short ride of the Lucky Fortune - perhaps we could arrange a tasting session? And of course we'll have to get cracking on sorting out the Hen Night.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0>

Hmmmmm Hen Party huh? I've always wondered what goes on at one of those. ya don't suppose I could squeeze into one of the LOML's maternity dresses and pretend the beard is just proof I'm over due for a visit to the electrolisist?

Ture, I would be glad to help with flower arrangements if you need someone. I've got some stuff in mind, but you'll have to let me know what kind of color scheme you want. I know it's gonna be an Autumn wedding, but I need to know things like where exactly it's going to be, what you, Hobbi, and the wedding party will be wearing, and things like that. I'll find some pictures of different ideas and put them onto a web-page so you can get an idea of what you might want.

Everything's gotta be perfect! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
-Eyriel

Either that or take a bath in Neet/Nair, whatever they call it these days. **snerk** Either that, or you can volunteer to be the male stri . . . , er, dancer. Woohoo, discussion thread!

Okay. For MY wedding, Gwen did catering. However, she's been MIA since shortly after that, so I kind of doubt we'll be able to get her. Flowers, good, I don't have to worry about those now. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Music for the reception's gonna be NO problem, considering how you're both members of the Bardic Guild. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-devil.gif"border=0>

NO WAY is my husband going to be a stripper for the Hen Party!!! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Ture - I notice that you do not have the Middle-Earth equivalent of a photographer. I'm sure that Lady Alfirin would welcome the chance to commemorate the occasion with a set of wedding portraits and impromptu sketches. (However, given the disturbance she created at the festival, I can understand if you would rather she stayed away! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> )

Nessamelda would love to help in any way she can.
Well….. I spent a very productive evening Hen Night plotting last night…. Thanks Lurea.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

By the way the colour scheme you have mentioned sounds really nice. Dark green, russet and deep violet make a nice combination. Nice rich colours for an outdoor fall wedding.

This is going to be some wedding and if I can help in any way let me know.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Ooh, those ARE lovely colors!! And plenty of flowers would look good with those, too, so we shouldn't have to worry about bouquets very much. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Ture... what do you mean, you've seen him without clothes, but before he met me?? Are you referring to that thread, I think SB's Challenge is its name?

So Leoba, you're in charge of planning the Hen Party? Okay, I'll send a few ideas your way later on! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>
