6:35 pm MST and hubby actually surprised me by coming home this evening . . . which is nice in one way, but now he's got really, really loud music blaring and I just want peace and quiet after a long day at the office and a visit to the dentist . . . Rolling Eyes

Ah well, it's time I got into my jeans and think about driving over to my friend's house for an evening of relaxing, chatting and stitching. We all take turns hosting and making something nice to nibble on . . . it doesn't get better than that . . . Wink

Vana, that's an awesome break! I love free days where you can just recuperate after long hours of work. Big Grin

It's 20:06, I'm waiting for my friend to install skype so that he can watch my laptop while I go to the washroom.

11:04 PM CST. I got home from work. It was crazy, and the longest lines happened when it was just 5 minutes left before I got off. Of course, the supervisors were nowhere to be found. At least I'm off tomorrow and can get some rest. Probably get started in putting up my Christmas decorations. It's the only time of the year when my apartment looks good and festive.

Eru.. you know they make locks for laptops. I don't know what they run in Canada, but I bought one for my daughter for about $30. They work sort of like a bike lock... and you can loop it around a desk.. a chair or your bed. She keeps hers locked all of the time in her room just so no one walks off with it by 'accident'.

Scribbles.. enjoy your evening.. eat a little something for me! Big Grin

C-R.. things do tend to look so sad & forlorn when the decorations come down, don't they?

Vana.. enjoy your time off!

It is 12:02.. just after midnight.. and I am enjoying a hot cup of herbal tea.. some that rwhen sent me.. cinnamon apple spice. It's nice! Big Grin

It is 5:45am PST and look who isn't sleeping again. Rolling Eyes I will probably crash here pretty soon but promise to be back today.

I know that my problem is that I fell asleep on the couch last night just before 10 and went to bed at 11. I was wiped out but then I do not sleep all night cause I have gotten some sleep. That plus Ryan and China were crowding me in bed and that woke me up. Mad Anyways I thought I would come play for a bit while I get tired again and then I can go back to bed. Big Grin

7:10 am PST.

Vanadarlin', hope you can get some rest this morning, but come on back and have some fun. Big Grin Hug I do that all the time, fall asleep too early and then up during the early twee hours, TRYING to fall back asleep. If I get up, that won't happen, meaning sleeping again. So I try, works about half the time.

Rose, you have tea left? Clapping Happy Happy that I was with you in the early hours.

Eru, did you get the Skype loaded on?

CR, I love an apartment all decorated up. Mine is so small that I only have out seasonal candles. No room for a tree and my sliding glass door is all covered up anyway, but I love that you do decorate. Sorry it was so busy last night. Get some rest!!

Scribbles, I meant to mention about you going to the dentist. Evil or Very Mad Never was a favorite thing to do, hope it all went well and that you enjoyed the sewing circle with the chica's.

9:47 AM CST. I'm finally up, and ready to decorate my apartment. Sometimes I chuckle to say my apartment rivals the mall in its decorations.

Glad to hear from you, Rwhen!

8:19AM. I did the wake up at 5 thing today too, and then I am not sure if I ever went back to bed. And I had to be up at 7 to go to work. Being driven to the office now. We are down to one car and hubby needs it so he gives me a lift. Lucky it's only a few miles.

Now you realize we expect pictures of your incredibly festive apartment. Big Grin

Yes, I got the skype set up and he watched my laptop. Big Grin Rose, you told me about those locks on fb as well, I should really look into them. I'm just not sure how they would wrap around my laptop.

11:55 am PST. Rowan, good night. Sleep well and hopefully we will see you tomorrow.

No problem CR. My pleasure. Great to have a day off, isn't it. Do you keep all your holiday stuff each year and just haul it out? I have some stuff from years ago and I Probably should toss it. I have been in the same flat now for five years and everything is in boxes.

Hope the decorations keep you happy and up through the holidays and if not, we are here for you!!!

ROFL!! Um, they don't wrap around the laptop darlin', there's a slot in the laptop frame or case that a lock on one end of the cable goes in . . . oh, you were pulling our legs!!! Bad Eru! LOL Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

CR yes! We wants pictures precious . . . Wink

12:55 pm MST and I'm recovering from our office's annual United Way Chili Cook-off. Sampled 10 different chili's and while some of them claimed to be hot, I found them just about medium, but they were ALL very tasty. This one entry was even a version of Chili Lasagne, which sounds funny but was utterly delicious. Big Grin

I doubt I'll win anything, but I still think mine was the best tasting entry there. Wink Just, y'know . . . sayin'.

1:59 PM CST. Thanks, Rwhen, it usually keeps me up. Until January, which is the worst month of the year for me. Of course, some think, and it's very possible, that I suffer from seasonal depression. When it gets darker and darker, I get down until it brightens up again.

Yes, I do keep my holiday stuff. It's packed away most of the year until I take it out again.

I'd love to show it to you all, but my computer isn't equipped to send pictures, and I don't have a digital camera anyway. But if I did, I would. I'd love to show it off if I knew how.

Scribbles, we have chilizanya on the menu as well and it IS delish. Did you make some chili for the competition? Hope you win if you did. Big Grin I bet you are full. I can't eat that much during the work hours or I feel bloated and just want to go home. Wink

CR, do you have a cell phone that takes piccies? And don't let us make you feel as if you HAVE to share, we are just the sorts that like to see piccies to share in the experience with you. Big Grin

It is 1:11pm PST and I do have a cell with a camera as well as a digital camera and a web cam on my laptop. Whistling I am not rich by any means it just happened when we had to upgrade on things and my husband works for a rent to own company that we can get things through and have it pulled out from his pay checks. Right now they are pulling for the nice 40" digital tv. Whistling When that is paid off then we will get a new stereo system since mine is about to go out. We got the camera that way a couple of years ago.

CR I love Eeyore. I know that I identify with him a lot of the time and I am with you on the winter depression thing. I had to move from the area where I used to live because of it. Here it is much better but I have noticed after a week of gloom that my mood starts to wane. But then we get some sunlight and I am back to fine. Thumb's Up Hang in there sweetie!! Hug

3:00 pm PST. And one half hour left in the work day. Clapping Happy

Vanadarlin', I do have a web camera, but my laptop doesn't have a port for it, so that is in a box somewhere. I think I am getting my new big flat screen TV on Friday, maybe. Brother Jim has been talking about it for two weeks now. Big Grin I know you must love yours and isn't it great to have Guru that works for a place that you can have the deductions just made from paycheck. Hug

3:20 pm PST.

Vanadarlin' you asked on another thread what was the significance of the "open" sign in the window of my Brothers home? He bought two neon signs for the restaurant and he hung one in the front bay window. I was thinking, I wonder what the neighbors think we are "open" for, here at his home.

1Yeah well, Scribbles I THINK has a Mac too, so she would know.

Actually, no I don't. Whistling So, if the Mac doesn't have a slot for the locking mechanism, I don't know how you'd secure one. Seems rather bizarre, unless Apple simply realized that no one would bother stealing a Mac . . . RazzBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

rwhen, I didn't eat that much chili, just a spoonful of each. I try to keep lunch small too, otherwise yes, I simply want to nap at my desk. Which isn't a good career plan . . . Wink

CR, lots of folks suffer from that light deprivation stuff in the winters if the days are short and grey. They do have special lamps you can get to help combat it. Much as I hate winter here for the snow and cold, we DO get tons and tons of sunshine so even if the days are short, they're still very bright. Smile

Well, 10:30 pm MST and time to hit the shower and then bed.

7:25 am PST. Scribbles, I wonder why I thought you had a Mac!!! *scratches head* Sorry about that. Hope you slept well. On the chili, you are a better person than I, when I take a taste, I end up "tasting" all day. Then I don't want supper. Don't eat and am starved when I get home.

Eru, I do know what trolling is, but I am more thinking of trolling for fishies. I am looking for Christmas gifts and also I got two books from Amazon yesterday. *nods* And you do Gladiator? I AM impressed, I would be too afraid of hurting things I might want to use someday. Razz

Vanadarlin', Have a great day. Sure did enjoy yesterday and getting to post with you. Hug 143 my SSOTH.
