One liners do not advance the story, enhance anyone's character and you do not give anything back to the other player's so that they can go forward.

· If you have to leave the thread, please write yourself out, or send an e-mail or IM to another RPer so they can write out your character for you.

· Try to avoid wacky posts. Nothing is worse than all of a sudden being thrown into battle with Morgoth and Balrogs in the 3rd Age. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>Trust me, I know.

· Do not post OOC comments in the story thread! This will clutter up the story! Do all OOC comments in the OOC thread.

· The Mods are NOT REQUIRED TO PROVIDE NOTICE of any kind before locking or deleting a thread that violates TOS or in this case fails to meet certain guidelines, so please, please, please, read TOS and the Guidelines and Rules for the Pony so we don't get this locked.

· One more thing. These are RP STORIES, not GAMES. There is no winner; it's about cooperation not competition.

· Try to get along with the other posters, not beat them out. First off, how realistic is that, even in a fantasy context? Secondly, if you immediately wipe out the bad guys no one else gets to play, and if the person who started the thread put something like that in, they might have had a reason which you cut off by killing everything in the blink of an eye.

Ok that's all I think..by the way, these are just notes copied from the Rules and Guidelines of the Pony, which we all love <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> and they're IMPORTANT notes. Remember that. We WANT to FOLLOW these. If anyone has any questions, e-mail me at minasmorgul_assassin@hotmail.com, I'm online every day unless there happens to be a world-wide crisis.

-Riencuran

Hey everyone!

I'll do a very, very quick summary of our story for all those who are curious:

At the beginning of our RP, a company of five ladies leave the Lucky Fortune Inn heading southward- all for different reasons. The members of the group are Rodia, a kind hearted hobbit who searches for adventure and for the old tales which her uncle used to share with her. Elena, an Elf woman who searches for a relative lost to her. She walks with the dignity of her kind but there seems to be something hidden behind her eyes that bothers her greatly. Riencuran, another Elf woman whose dark past in the land of Minas Morgul continually haunt her. She searches for a person who was lost to her. Siren, a human woman from the Northern lands who tries to escape (at least for a time) from her homeland, which restricts her with its laws. And Shade, a human woman with little recollection of a violent and tragic past that follows her no matter where she travels. Together, the group is on a quest for the truth.

(Hope that did everyone justice).
---
Never thought we'd get here <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>. I'm excited.
I thought I'd post up some good and useful links I found while looking around. Hallo girls!
Wytch, that was a wonderful summary, and Rien, thanks for starting the thread.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Shall I be the first to post a bio then? For some reason I can't email it to you (stupid server grumble grumble), and it should be in here at some point anyway, so here goes nothing.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

*clears throat*

Rodia comes from a small hobbit village called Rowanbush, a mile or two from the north side of the Great Smials. Her mother was quiet and caring Dora Thrush, but her father was a Took. But it was only by the marriage of Rodia’s Great-Aunt Mirabella Goodins to Isengar Took (both being in a ripe age) that a link to the main branch was made. Isengar plays a crucial role in this story, though he is already long dead when it begins. He was the Old Took’s youngest child and is reputed to have had many adventures abroad, including a brief but extraordinary sea-voyage. He removed from the Smials soon after his marriage was made, preferring the quiet of Rowanbush and the awesome respect with which his tales were treated there. Over time, even the most imaginative of those country hobbits had given to dismissing his stories as nonsense, as he had never produced any proof of their authenticity, but the children were always eager to listen and believe, and the old hobbit took as much pleasure in telling the tales as they did to listen. Rodia and her two elder brothers were regular guests by Isengar’s fireplace, and their favourite games were based on ‘Uncle’s adventures’.

The old hobbit died when Rodia was eight. Her brothers, thirteen-year-old Jasper and sixteen-year-old Juniper grew up fast, and to them the stories became nothing but fond memories of games and a well-loved relative. Two years later, little Berry was born- Rodia always thought it was a shame that he’d missed knowing the brave hobbit Uncle Isengar was, and did her best to recount his adventures to her brother, even when he was still too young to understand her.
But when he did grow, he began to criticise her style and the repetition of the same stories. Rodia knew her limitations, and called for help from a neighbour friend, Bergo Pebblebrook, who was known for his talents in spinning tales, or atrocious lies as his old mother preferred to call them. But Mrs.Pebblebrook was among the minority of the inhabitants of the region who didn’t appreciate a story, for it was a monthly custom for the people of Rowanbush and neighbouring villages to gather in an inn for a Tall Tale contest. Now, in theory, the winner was rewarded with nothing but honour and satisfaction, and the inscription of his tale in a big leather-bound Book, but in reality serious bets were made during those contests. Every village had its champion, and would cheer him on, and the following month the contest would be taken in his hometown inn, which enticed the landlords to be particularly encouraging and offer many free rounds to their preparing champion.

Bergo was one of the many young hobbits aspiring to have his story written down in the Book, and Rodia and her brother Berry were his known accomplices. They would spend long hours together when no farmwork was to be done, thinking up stories to be told in the inn every Highday, and secretly working on the Big Story that Bergo would present at the monthly challenge.

Rodia was nearing her tweens when she left the Shire- it was really nothing but an impulse act, in which frustration at doing the same old things every day, and being nagged about her imminent spinsterhood played a chief part. She had met with Bergo the previous night, and talked about old Isengar’s tales.Their authenticity had once again been put into doubt in her presence, and she confided her exasperation in her friend. By morning she was quite decided to leave and see for herself what adventures were like. Among the many decisions she made walking away from the village was to have Bergo finally teach her to read and write when she got back- she had left in secret, and found being uncapable of leaving any sort of comforting message to her family very unnerving.

So. As to physical appearances, her hair is brown and cut short in a boyish manner which she finds most comfortable (but which her mother finds unbecoming and hopes the old saying that there is a match for every monster is true). She isn’t a hobbit of outstanding features, but she comforts herself with the opinion of her relations that there is ‘something about that girl’s eyes.’ She’d secretly like to be pretty and sweet and have boys flock around her like the other girls do, but she’d rather die than admit it. She’s more obvious than she thinks, however.
Rodia arrives in the Lucky Fortune dressed in her brother’s breeches and a plain coat and shirt, but though she chose this array for comfort during the journey, she has a dress in her pack too. She also has a forest green cloak and a scarf of the same colour.

Being a simpleminded hobbit, Rodia takes life easy and has a tendency to see a bright side to everything, sometimes being overly cheerful when others fall into more sullen moods. She doesn’t hide her emotions, and wouldn’t really know how. Her main way of dealing with stress is performing a sort of talking marathon- she’s a character of extreme volubility and doesn’t like having to stay quiet. She has also found talking a great way for buying time and changing an awkward subject.
At times Rodia can be a little dull and imprudent, which can be justified by the fact that her life up to the present moment consisted of a lot of daydreaming and a lot of farmwork, and no travelling at all. She has never had to worry about the next day, because it would be exactly like the one before, and she has never had to distrust anyone or be cautious and diplomatic in conversation. She is very glad and flattered to have found companions such as Siren, Elena, Shade and Rien, though she doesn’t fully realise some self-control might be expected of her.

Her new companions have given her two very precious gifts.A short sword from Shade, which the hobbit swings eagerly but doesn’t want to see as a real weapon. She would much prefer to pretend it was a toy, a harmless wooden sword used for play and not harm, be it in self-defence. But she realises a weapon is a sad necessity when travelling, and she admits owning a real sword does excite her.
She has also received , from Rien, a horse to fit her size, and though assured that she has paid the price of a story for it, she still cannot comprehend how she gained the honour. The horse’s name is Pigeonheart, and it would be no lie to say she is the most beautiful animal Rodia has ever seen. She hopes a gallop is as easy as it looks- the only horses she ever rode had long forsaken that kind of eccentricity.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

I guess that’s about it- if you’d prefer me to phrase all this into a one-glance list, I could try.

Argh! This computer keeps eating my posts! Rodia, you're bio was fine, better than those at-a-glance profiles. Um, should I set up the RP? No, wait, I think you said you were going to do it Wicked. Ok then never mind. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Here's my bio, Wicked sent me her's and I put that in another post for her.

Name: Riencuran Elenath
Title(s): Dark Crescent of Middle Earth, Assassin of Minas Morgul

Race: Sindarin Elf
Gender: Female
Age: Undisclosed
Eyes: grayish-black color, though she is blinded several years into the Fourth Age
Hair: Raven black, neck-length
Height: 6'3''
Appearance: Skin tanned from the sun, light scar on her left cheek,
Personality: Quiet, loyal to her beliefs, fiery temper,
Languages known: Sindarin, Black Tongue,

Clothing: Forest green cloak, black tunic, dark green shirt, loose pants, padded boots, silver armlet like a serpent on her right arm,
Occupation: Assassin, thief, mercenary
Skills: Archery, knife throwing, stealing, sword fighting, makes her own poisons, with unique antidotes.
Weapons: Two twin long-swords, a numerous amount of knives, six-foot long bow and quiver of arrows,

Mount:
When she first came to Minas Morgul, she had a mare, Ránaraca, that she had had since she was a young Elf, but the black horse died during her time in Morgul. Rána had given birth to a colt three years before, and Riencuran trained the stallion to carry her, and to understand a few words of the Black Tongue. She named the stallion Shadow Blade.

History:
Rien was born in Imladris, to Celebthoron and Naurrís Anor.
Rien's brother though, Luinithil, who was the oldest, loved her. He hated it when she tried to gain her parents love, and they hit her in return, and would try to console his sister. He never spoke to his parents again when he found Rien's face bleeding from being hit by Celebthoron. He and his sister also changed their surnames to Elenath, instead of keeping Anor.

Luin spent all his free time with Rien, teaching her how to shoot a bow, how to search for the right healing plants, and how to survive on her own, since his parents would undoubtedly toss her out one day.

Rien tried and tried again to earn her parents love, or her sisters, but to no avail. She was always hit or ridiculed in public. Then the Last Alliance was formed, and her father and her brother joined. Rien suffered at the hands of her mother and sister's for the next eleven years, until the War ended, and she received news of her father and brother. The message said that Luin and Celebthoron were dead.

The shock made the poor Elfess lose her memories of everything except one place, Mordor. She had saddled her mare, Ránaraca, and rode out of Imladris.

After about three weeks of straight riding, she ended up near Mordor, or rather, Minas Morgul. She fell off Ránaraca, and lay there. Some hours later, mercenaries of Minas Morgul found her, and took her to the Moontower.

When Rien woke, she still did not have her memories, and was tricked into thinking she was a servant of the Dark Lord. She got a mark on her right arm, of a crescent moon, and was permanently bound to the Tower of Black Sorcery.

She knew only how to shoot a bow, and use a staff, so Rien was taught how to use swords and knives. Luin had made weapons for fun, and had given her two twin long-swords, promising her that he would teach her and Rien still had those swords with her.

Years later, while she and some other mercenaries were discussing a raid, some of her memories came flooding back. Frantic, she immediately rode back to Rivendell, only to find herself marked a traitor and banished. She tried to gain entrance, but was refused. Her mother wouldn't see her, nor would her sisters. Cursing the Elves of Imladris aloud, she rode back to Minas Morgul. It was after this that Ránaraca died, and Riencuran rode her mare’s offspring, Shadow Blade.

About fifty years later, she tried again, after hearing that her mother and sisters were departing for the Gray Havens, but was banned from there too. She cried and wept to be allowed to at least say good-bye, but still was refused. She cursed her family and all Elves that lived in Rivendell yet again, and went back to Minas Morgul, feeding off her hate of Elves and killing any that were of the House of Elrond that crossed her path. She hires herself out as an assassin and thief, killing because of the hatred that was rooted within her and stealing for the money.
During the Fourth Age, she took part in helping a man called Dhalir take over Middle Earth. He spread a plague in order to help his plans. Riencuran killed him when it seemed like triumph was near, but unfortunately, her plans failed, and she retreated farther into Mordor as Middle Earth recovered from Dhalir’s attempts and her own.
Here is Wicked's bio. Wicked! Shame on Shade for giving Rodia a stolen sword. Tries to seem shocked, but the images of all the swords and knives and millions of other items Rien has stolen keeps popping into her head.

Name: Known now as Shade
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 5'4 with a thin, yet muscular build
Hair: Jet black and straight, always down
Eyes: Dark blue that sometimes lightens in sunlight, her eyes are
often troubled as if she sees things that aren't there
Age: Around 24
Status: Alone, unmarried, without a family and only few friends
Occupation: Wanderer and theif
Weapons: 2 swords and many knives

History:
Shade was born in a small town in a small area in Gondor called Lossarnach sometime at the end of the third age. Most of the people who lived there had
their own task that was assigned to them to help secure the village
(blacksmiths, farmers, hunters, etc.). It was a rural place, with few
buildings except for homes and a large community building which served as a center and was used for everything from weddings to funerals.

Shade's real name was Meiowyn (pronounced May-o-in). [Since this name sounds
like its from Rohan, it is probable that her family migrated from the area.]
She lived in a moderately small house with her mother, father, and two
siblings (a girl and boy). Shade was the middle sibling, but not at all
overlooked in her family. Her father was a farmer, a good man who did
everyhthing for his family. He loved all his children and Mei had a deep
respect for him. Mei's mother was a simple woman, very loving with a big
heart. She loved to sing and tell tall tales to her kids. Meiowyn and her
mother shared an especially close bond and Mei wanted nothign more in life
than to be just like her mother.

Mei's siblings were an older brother and younger sister were very similar to
her in looks and attitudes. All were young and carefree for the first years
of their lives. They played well with the other children in town and lived
happy lives.

The Orcs came in the dark of the night when Mei was 17 years old. There was a
large group of them and since the people of the village were mainly peaceful
and without arms, they did not stand a chance. Mei watched in terror as the
Orcs took her family and killed her friends. They took Mei too, but they
decided to keep her (And some others) for a time- they planned to eat her
later on.

They kept her for days, keeping her weak but alive. Shade watched them kill
many more people in these days and she was also tortured very badly. After
sometime, Shade had given up hope in surviving and lost the will to live. She
did not know where her family was or even if they were alive.

Something unexpected happened though, by some incredible stroke of luck, the
groups of Orcs did not get along well. Soon, they were fighting one another.
Shade lost consciousness sometime during the small battle.

She woke up a day later in the same spot. The Orcs were gone, and there was
little evidence that they had ever been there except for footprints in the
grass and a few dead bodies of her fellow villagers.

Shade didn't remember anything of what happened at the time, she repressed
the memories because it was too much for her. She walked for a few days,
eating roots and drinking muddy water from puddles to survive. Just when she
thought she would die, she made it to a village and collapsed.

Shade woke up in a small town on the southeastern border of Gondor. She
found herself in the home of an elderly woman- the herbalist and wise woman
of the town- who cared for her for a few weeks.

During that time, Shade contemplated staying in the village, the people were
pretty nice to her and it was very much like a home to her. But she decided
to leave one day, after watching a family happily pass her by. After seeing
them, she knew that she had to find her family or at least find out what
happened to them (even though she really didn't remember them except for a
few shaky flashes of memory).

Shade left quietly in the middle of the night, stealing a few swords, knives,
clothes, and a horse (a tan colored mare named Quickfoot). She didn't know
how to use the weapons and was unaccostomed to riding a horse bareback, but
she adjusted with time. She learned to eat grasses and drink river water to
keep alive and strong.

For years, she traveled north west. She went through Gondor, Rohan, and kept
to the edges of the Shire (but never met a hobbit). She met her dog (a young,
grey Great Dane type of creature) when she was 18- he was injured and
starving in the woods and Shade helped him out. Because of her kindness, he
follows her still. He was a big help to her because he was a hunting dog- he
could catch dinner for her.
She also met many people- some were friends, many more she used to get ahead.
Staying in cities, she learned many useful sword techniques and became quite
a fighter.Shade also saw orcs, (at their sight, she often would go off the
edge and snap- violently attacking and killing them).

At the age of 23 Shade reached the Blue Mountains and gave up hope of finding
her family. She pretty much turned around (very depressed) and wandered aimlessly for months.

By the time she reaches the Lucky Fortune Inn (current time), she's close to 24 and is a very different person from the innocent child Meiowyn.

Appearance and belongings:
Shade dresses simply- a long black cloak covers her brown leggings, forest green top and ankle high leather boots. She wears no jewerely. She has very little in her pack, except for a few coins and a knife or two. One of her swords hangs at her side, another on her belt. She has a knife in each boot, her belt, hanging on her chest, and another one which she recently gave away to her hobbit friend, Rodia. (She's acquired all these weapons by stealing
them).

Personality:
Over time, she's become very suspicious of people. She trusts no one
completely and it usually takes a while for her to like people. She finds hobbits (she calls 'em halflings because she's only heard about them through tales) interesting and innocent. She's more cautious to humans, but still finds kinship in them. Dwarves, she thinks are shady and untrustworthy. As I've said before, she hates orcs and strongly dislikes Elves (which poses a problem since two of her companions on this journey are Elves). Shade is a skilled swordswoman. She has never fought in a real war-type battle. She came to learn how to fight through practice and networking. Whenever she found an innocent person being attacked, she stepped in and helped that person. Whenever she was attacked by stray theives or rogues who thought she would be an easy target (this occured occasionally on the road) she would have to defend herself. And when she came across orcs she also would fight. This helped her technique.
She also learned from people who lived in villages. Sometimes she stopped and stayed in cities/towns for some time. She usually lived with a family or in an Inn during that period. I think that in those type of places, she found people (experienced swordsmen and such) from whom she asked for tips. Eventually, she had enough good knowledge and experience, that she was a good swordswoman. She is an ok archer, though she doesn't like using the bow and doesn't have
one anyway. She's also a pretty good thief, although she never steals unless she really needs an item.

She's also incredibly rude to strangers. (her favortie question to them is "who the hell are you?"<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> But she's extremely loyal to people she like or consider friends. She has her own honor system and has her own code of ethics, believeing in fighting for the innocent and the abused but at the same time staying out of other's business. She finds little wrong in stealing (unless its from people
who are in bad financial situations). Basically, she's a good person with a strong conscience, which she tries to cover constantly in front of others.
Hi girls! Sorry it took me sooo long to post.... my computer crashed... if you guys check my post in LFI, I have already sent us on our way... hope no one minds..... anyway, here is my Bio, without the history... it's too long, but if anyone is interested, you can check the Character Archives!

At the time Elena’s history is written, it is about a hundred years after the passing of King Elessar.

Real Name - Lady Elena Tinúviel
Known As - Elena
Race: Eldar (Has both Telerin and Sindarin blood)
Gender: Hmm, let me think… most definitely… Female! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
Age: Very old. Born during the Second Age - about 80 years after the Three Rings of the Elves were made.
Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: Hey! That’s rude! Never, ever ask a woman her weight! They appear to be pools of endless depth, that look right into your heart and see your innermost thoughts, filled with a calm serenity and enchantingly lovely. They are more bluish (like a clear spring sky) when she is in a thoughtful or serious mood; and grey as a stormy seas when her anger is aroused. Her eyes hold a certain sadness, which is more perceptible when she remembers her past or her family. But usually her eyes are full of laughter and merriment, keen as lances in starlight, yet profound, holding the light of knowledge and wisdom, wells of deep memory.

Physical Appearance: She resembles her great-grandmother in appearance, although her hair and her eyes are darker than hers. Tall and slender, with a small waist, shapely hips and long legs that contribute much to her easy gracefulness and elegant bearing (Well, she has a really nice figure!!! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>). She is seemingly fragile and has an air of vulnerability that makes her seem innocent and young, almost defenceless. Yet, this appearance is highly deceptive, as it hides her strength, her power, and almost feline reflexes and agility. There is something arresting and indefinable about her that captures the imagination, holds the attention, and makes all those who see her catch their breath.

Marital Status: Lady to, and very much in love with, Orion HR, a fellow Bard

Occupation: Wandering Bard; Healer; Seer; Dreamweaver; Warrior (when she needs to be)

Personality: Elena is proud, strong, and self-willed, yet she has a noble and generous spirit. She can seem cold and aloof from others, as she is rather shy and tends to be quiet and get on with things by herself. But in fact, she loves company and is good to be with, making an excellent friend. From her earliest years, she had a marvellous gift of insight into the minds of others, but judged them with mercy and understanding, for she was always willing to believe in the inherent goodness of people. She is open, honest and sincere, and expects others to be the same, which means that others can sometimes take advantage of her sweet and trusting nature; in some ways she can be very naïve. Elena can be very outspoken, especially about things she believes in, but her bluntness is without malice and rarely causes offence. She is full of cheerfulness, life, energy and enthusiasm (She has lots in common with the Hobbits! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>), but can show inconsistency and impulsive anger; she often acts before she thinks. She is a restless person, never staying in one place for long, and loves to travel and learn new things. Intelligent, lively and independent, she can beguile anyone with her charm. Vivacious and friendly to everyone, there is nothing she likes more than to sit and have a long conversation and find out all about the other person. Her sympathetic temperament allows others to open up to her and confide in her, and she exudes a gentle, caring nature. Creative and artistic, she is deep thinking and wise, and a healer by nature. She avoids aggressive behaviour, and prefers sensible compromises and solutions to destructive confrontations, due to her inability to keep cool in a confrontation. Elena has a contemplative, impressionable, temperamental and moody nature, endowed with a fertile imagination, and a mind that is dreamy, creative, inspired and impulsive.

Outfit: Deep blue cloak and hood, in the colour of a midsummer night sky, set with silver stars about the hem. But, because it is a cloak of Lórien, it can change its colour to suit her surroundings, allowing her to move without being seen.
When travelling, she usually wears a form-fitting, pale blue gypsy top, with a thin band of silver-white embroidery around the neckline, the hem and on the edges of the sleeves, black riding breeches and black boots; or a white dress (reminiscent of Galadriel’s dress in the movie), divided for riding, and belted in silver, and white riding boots.
For formal occasions, Elena usually wears dresses in different hues of blue, green, or purple with touches of grey, white, or gold. Her favourite is a pale bluish-greenish dress, embroidered in white and indigo nephredil blossoms around the hem and down the flowing, bell-shaped sleeves. Each blossom centres on a small pearl, which shimmers and sparkles when she moves.

Skills Include: Foretelling; an affinity to water and all its forms (because of her Teleri blood, she thinks); she is a Dreamweaver; horseback riding; archery; healing; music (she plays the flute and the violin, and she has a beautiful voice, although she rarely sings nowadays); sword-fighting; speaking, reading, and writing Elven languages and the Common Speech; and many other skills learnt over the ages, that are well hidden and rarely used.

Weapons and Other Items: Elenáre, The Star of Dawn, an elvish sword akin to Gandalf’s sword Glamdring, given to her by her brother, Galad
A silver bow of Lórien, and a quiver of silver arrows
Daggers hidden at the sides of her boots
A pale blue crystal, Nólemír, shaped in the form of a teardrop and welded to a fine mithril chain of Elvish make, always around her neck - given to her by the Lady Galadriel
Keeper of Silmariën, the Moon Ring of Dreams and Melody
A violin, Lindórië, given to her by her mother, Telperiën, as a parting gift, and a beautiful flute, Celebros.

Means of Travel: A black stallion, named Starlight. He is a descendant of the mearas, and very special, since he is the only one of his kind to have a blue mane and tail, flecked in bits of silver. Highly spirited and independent, he can nevertheless be sweet-tempered and gentle when he is around Elena. Sure-footed and swift as the wind, when Starlight moves, all anyone can see is a swift shimmer under the trees, or a light and shadow flowing through the grass. Fiery, stubborn and still rather wild, he is wary of most other creatures and mistrusts humans, although he does tolerate some humans - like the people of Rohan. There is a great friendship between Elena and Starlight, and they are devoted to each other. Starlight holds a very special place in Elena’s heart, more so because of the past they share.

Family:
Parents:Her father, Círyatan, was a kinsman of Círdan the Shipwright, and her mother, Telperiën, was the younger sister of Lord Celeborn of Lothlórien. They both passed into the Uttermost West with Lady Galadriel and Lord Elrond.

Siblings: Older brother, Galadhon, usually called Galad by all. He was a mighty warrior and a great leader. Yet he was also kind and gentle, wise in lore, and a highly skilled craftsman. It was said that in him the spirit of Fëanor lived on, as it had in Celebrimbor. He left one day to visit his cousin Celebrían and her husband Elrond, in Imladris, but never reached there. The most common theory among the Elves as to what happened to Galad is that he was most probably waylaid by Orcs in the Misty Mountains and killed.
Twin brother, Eärtaron; of all her siblings, he is the one she is closest to, and great friends with. He is like her in both personality and looks, although obviously more male, and Elena loves him dearly. Like her, Eärtaron is a wanderer in his heart, and travelled often around Middle-Earth with Elena before the War of the Ring, and most often to the Grey Havens or to Mirkwood. He is a great friend of Legolas Greenleaf and his brothers, and a favourite of Círdan. He meant to leave Middle-Earth together with Lord Elrond, Lady Galadriel, and his parents, but his love for Middle-Earth proved strong, and he decided against leaving in the end. He now lives in Eryn Lasgalen with his wife, Melian, although he still travels often.
Younger sister, Nieninquë; beautiful, independent and with a secretive temperament, she is in many ways still a child. She married Aldarion, youngest son of King Thranduil of Mirkwood, sometime before the War of the Ring, They lived in Lothlórien until the passing of Lady Galadriel, and when Lord Celeborn left for Imladris, they also left the Golden Wood, and now live in Ithilien.

Bio: (Currently under Construction – will post an update soon)

Hellow peeps!

Hellow peeps!

I'm kind of a n00b in here, made a couple mistakes no this board before but I'm planning on doing some proper RP'ing now... <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Kind of obvious I want to join this RP isn't it? <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> I'll just post my bio here and you guys can decise if I can join in okay? thx! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Name: Syningron Elenwë
Race: Half elf
Class: Bard
Gender: Male
Hair: Darkish brown
Eyes: Hazel
Age: 256 (but likes to lie...)
Marital status: Single, rather not too long...
Weapon skills: Daggers, short swords and staffs
Non weapon skills:Acrobatics, music(mandoline), minor spells, animal handling.
Personality: Syningron is always able to help, unless you are on the wrong side of his mind, which he will show by grabbing every opportunity to pull a prank. He is also very fond of animals.
Biography:
Born and raised in the slums of Gwendä, along with his mother, father and brothers and sisters. Grew up with Dredö, which has been his best friend since they were born.

Syningron always loved music, in his childhood he always listened to one of his neighbors, who had a mandolin, and decided when he grew up he wanted to play the same instrument. For one of his birthdays, (a few year after his family heard he wanted to play the mandolin really badly), the all raised money together to buy him a mandolin, and had found someone in the city to teach him the basics, not too much money, and he was happier then ever, and wanted to start straight away. So a couple of days later he started the lessons, and turned out to be a natural. When the lessons were over, his teacher offered him to go with him on a trip to the villages nearby, and play for every crowd that wanted to listen, and enthusiastic as he was, he agreed without a doubt. Of course, Dredö was devastated by his sudden leave, and gave him a leather belt, which he almost never took of.

The next year was a wonderful year for Syningron, in every city he was people were cheering as loud as they could when they had heard him play. He couldn’t be happier, so he decided to keep traveling for a while. Surely his parents wouldn’t mind him staying away for a little longer. And maybe he shouldn’t have done that...

When he arrived at the slums of Gwendä, there was nothing left but an open plain where the slums had been. Really, this couldn’t be happening? So he went to the elders of the city, which denied any existence of slums in Gwendä, and had most certainly not heard of the place Syningron was referring to. Of course, Syningron was devastated by this discovery! Where was his family? Why did the elders denied the existence of the slums? While he was sunk into his thoughts, and he was walking down the streets to the place the slums had been before, an old man walked up to him, and asked him for his name. When he told him he was syningron, the man gave him a letter, and walked off without saying anything.

The letter was from his mother. It told him the elders wanted to get rid of the slums, because they were going to get visited by some high counsel, which would determine whether the city needed a new counsel of elders if the old ones weren’t complying. So everyone in the slums got a letter to leave, and maybe even get a residence in the village. But they had to leave the slums.

Really not much people in the slums wanted to move, and certainly not to the city, as they hated it there. So the people that remained got a new letter. If they would not move volanterely, they would be mover with force. That did shake the people, and most of them took their leave. But some still reamained, like his mother and father.

The letter told him that they would be waiting for his return in the slums, as long as the elders would let them stay, because they were not planning on moving. The letter ended with a kiss from his mother, and a grief wish of hope that he would return soon.

After reading the letter, Syningron sat down on a bench on one of the city squares, and didn't do anything for a while. He just sat. And thougth. Where were his parents now? After a while he decided to look for the old man again. He found him near a fountain on the square that was the nearest to the place where the slums had been. He asked them is he knew anything about his parents. He did... He told him they had been removed from the slums when they refused to move out. They were locked up, and had been given one last chance to take residence in a new given home in the city or leave. They still refused, as did many others. One day, all they prisson cells were empty. Nobody knew where the prissoners were taken, but the rumors went they had been executed... The only thing he knew for sure is that there was one kid, called Dredö, stayed out of the hands of the guards when everyone was taken, and stayed in the slums for as long as he could. Waiting for Syningron. His eyes widened. He also told him that he had been waiting eversince he had left for his return, and when he didn’t return on the time they expected him, next to his mother, he was the person most concerned about him. He hung around so long in the slums, that when they had begun tearing the slums down he was still in one of the cottages, and they didn’t find him untill the pieces were being removed...

The fact he knew all those things about Dredö, was because he was his father... He couldn’t find any words to express how he felt, because he was the cause of the death if his best friend... That moment he swore that he would revenge the dissapearence of his parents, and the death of his best friend, for himself and for the father of Dredö, and in the back of his head, he always hopes to find his parents somewhere in an Inn, drinking some wine, talking about how the slums were being removed... But that was already a long time ago...

Hope you guys are willing to help me out a little and correct me where I'm wrong and stuff... <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Dylan
Hello, this is Rien. I made a pathetic post....Makes memo to edit that.

Unbrained, hello to you! Of course you are welcome to join! I don't think anyone would object. Just read the rules and guidlines to the Pony, and in case I haven;t mentioned this enough...because we don't want any Mods like ThreadStalker or Elbren to come in and lock it up, which, sadly <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-crying.gif"border=0> , I have seen happen to many RP's. But then again, they didn't follow TOS, or R&G's of the Pony..my brother's RP for one!<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Just work yourself into the story. Once we get started, say, the group could see you on the road, or something like that.
If you need any help, just e-mail me at:

moons_revenge@hotmail.com

I have posted my new character, Dailen Icara, in the LFI thread. She is there looking for Rien and will set out soon, following the groups trail. I'm going to have her always just missing you, until later. Ok, well, that's all. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Once again, welcome to the RP unbrained!

Oh, don't you girls get any ideas, I'm plain, normal, sensible...well, perhaps not sensible, but plain at any rate. One of the reasons for this are that I wouldn't feel comfortable with carrying a more jaded character, and probably wouldn't know how. Another is that having a character with no significant events in their past saves a lot of complicated storymaking<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>. And then, finally, I don't know if Rien knew how close she was to the truth when she wrote "Rodia as herself" in the first post. This hobbit is mostly just me. Differences include her illiteracy and countryside origin...I'm definitely a city girl.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> But since she is my first RP character, I wanted to start with something I could handle.
I do have another character in an rp in the Dragon- he's more complicated to control, seeing as he's not as much my absolute opposite as the kind of person I'd willingly kick down the stairs and throw something heavy after.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> But the Dragon's lighter atmosphere balances that out.

Ramble ramble.
I'll be getting a post in this evening at the latest.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
HUGS!
(and welcome unbrained...<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Nice to have you with us!)

EDIT: this evening meaning in about seven or eight hours. I don't have a particular reason for going south Rien. In RL I have a craving for the sun instead of the stupid stupid rain <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> and my character is from a cold land so it suited the story for her and me to long for the warm weather. My bio will be posted tomorrow morning bright and early (which is the middle of the night TORC time) I'm home for the whole weekend and I can't wait to catch up on everything I've missed. Great bios by the way. I will also post in the morning so goodnight everyone <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Hey everyone.

I just realized a reason for going south. Shade's still looking for her parents, and she hasn't been to far south (well, she has, but she wouldn't mind looking again). This can be a reason for going south.
Except, of course, Shade wouldn;t share something like that with the others...hmmm. O well.

I actually have a question-
what's the terrain on the great east road that we're taveling on (foresty, PLains?). I need to know where we are before I can really describe anything around me.

Well, that's all for now.

~Wicked

Wytch the land along the Great East Road is covered in thickets and wild.

My bio at last:

Name: Siren
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Appearance: Her hair is thickly dyed blue. She has fair skin. She is about 5'6" and has blue eyes.
Outfit: Black velvet cloak covering a dark red velvet dress. Quite heavy looking in appearance but actually very light.
Posessions:Sand of her homeland and simple sword.
Horse: Pitch black Clydesdale named Scythe
Personality: She is quiet and quite jumpy. She is always willing to fight for a good cause. She has a quiet interest in magic
Origin: An island in the far north. The people there spend many years as children training to move faster than most humans.
History: Her parents were guardians of the islands and so they were especially fast and strong. Siren also inherited this from them. When she was chosen to become an athlete she was extremely disappointed. She became restless and began to travel further and further away fro home. She started to go out on boats sailing around the island. When sailing in a particularly bad storm she eventually became stranded on the mainland. Craving adventure she continued further down the mainland until she reached civilisation (Middle-Earth).

My e-mail address is golden_siren@vodafone.ie
Wicked_Wytch I don't have your e-mail address so could you send it to me if you don't mind.

Its strange we all have black horses but it just means we all have good taste. LadyG have a good time wherever your going. I just posted in the thread but my post was eaten up by either the boards or my computer. I will try and post again later and if it doesn't work I will give up and e-mail it to one of you and hopefully you will be able to post it.

Hey everyone.

As for the horse, Shade had to take it! I mean... how else was she supposed to travel around? It would have taken double the time if she'd been on foot. So... she really needed it. She didn't just take it for fun. *innocent look*
<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Some ideas for the RP-
We're almost to the rest stop and i wanted to throw some ideas out there for everyone.

1- I need to stumble upon a small group of orcs (not now, but whenever.) I need this to do some back story for Shade. Since we're going to pass Isengard I dont think it should be too hard.

2- I was thinking on stopping over at a few small towns on our way down. Not sure which. It would be nice if we could find some nice villagers... maybe even a good looking man or two <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>.

3- Any thoughts on a big bad? I was thinking that it might be fun if we eventually had to go and fight some villian and smite him (Or her as the case may be)!
<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> (Whoo... sorry...that's my new video game talking).
It would probably be easy to incorporate a big bad with Rien (who knows what she was doing back in Morgul *looks over at Rien inquiringly*)
Of course, if you don;t want one, its cool.

So what do you guys think?

~Wicked

It would probably be easy to incorporate a big bad with Rien (who knows what she was doing back in Morgul *looks over at Rien inquiringly*)

Rien's rival is in the LFI. She can be the 'big bad'. And I was doing nothing bad in Minas Morgul except killing people, and stealing and trying to overthrow the White Tower. Now is that a crime?
