Do you have LotR in Arabic? If so, there are several passages that are being discussed in multiple languages (see especially the thread on the section from the Battle of the Pelennor Fields) and we would love additional input.

no, there is no Arabic Version of LOTR. The Arabic literature is so complex, that the complexity of Tolkien's works will be ven more complex. I am very good at English though, i have won three 1st prizes in English Essays in LAU university when i was in middle school, so i have no prob with LOTR in Eng.

I've been interested in the Arabic language lately, and the Arabian culture. If you can, how would you say Arabic sounds different from the English language?

Quite some talents there Lord_Gino, impressive array of Languages :D.. and just out of curiosity: 'what kind of arabic' (colloquial) is your specialty? Or would you be doing translations into classical?

And a poster from Egypt! Now I'm delighted :D I used to live in Egypt for the better part of my life. Hail and well met Haisook!

Is there anyone left here that speaks Arabic? I would appear that everyone in this thread before me has departed on a quest.

I have need of a translation from English into Arabic for a cookbook I'm writing. I've found it was far easier to translate into Quenya than it is to find an online Arabic source that doesn't translate the words into script.

Hey my hubby is Arab and I live in the Middle East - mine is a bit rusty, but I might be able to help out if anyone needs a translation.

Hello,

I'd like to get a tattoo on my back but I'd need someone to translate this onto Arabic. I'd really appreciate it if anybody here can speak/write arabic.

The text is: I'm not a has-been, I am a will-be.

Thank you very much
