The Premiership/Champions League/UEFA Cup 2005-06 Season
If you want a job done, you've got to do it yourself I suppose...
Since Liverpool's first qualifying match is just around the corner, I thought I would start this thread. Good luck everyone for the next 11 months, then on to Germany!
Unless you are Scottish, like me. *sigh*

You've beaten me to it, Metatron. The title race should be very interesting this season: I honestly can't see any of the top four separating themselves from the rest by a big margin. It should be very close this time. Not sure yet whom to tip for the title though I reckon it won't be Liverpool just yet this season. I can see us finishing third though, perhaps at the expense of United. It'll also be interesting to see how Everton are going to do this season: I'd personally say they'll drop to sixth or seventh.
Good to see you sticking around LR. Who are you going to support in the Prem while Saints are trying to get back in?
Metatron, whereabouts in Scotland are you? I live in Liverpool myself but because of private circumstances it is possible that I'm going to move to Edinburgh next year. If I do, I could do with some new friends in town, in Glasgow and surroundings. |

Zenden will be Rafa's first summer signing, putting pen to paper on Monday. A good choice, IMO: he comes for nothing and we need someone on the wings given that nobody knows what'll happen with Harry Kewell yet. Reina looks also certain. Anyone heard of Mark Gonzalez? He's out till October because of an injury but apparently Rafa was so impressed with the player that he wants to move the transfer forward from January.
Metatron, well, if I really do move to Edinburgh in the future and you happen to be on a visit in the area, then we should meet up. |

Oops. How careless of me!
It's taken long enough for one of you lot to notice...
Actually, I tried the poll with all 20 teams, but it didn't like that at all. Too many options. I removed a bunch, and then got a hankering for mischief.
I'll add them now then, shall I? |

The new kit is great..are we talking redcurrant here? I'll reserve judgment till I see one. Till then I'll give it a looking at a pic of it.
It is a shame about Patrick Vieira, he will be missed but I am pleased to see Thierry Henry as the new Club captain. He is a great player and has played well for Arsenal and deserves the band.
New signings Alexander Hleb (last club Stuttgart) and Philippe Christanval. I don't know anything about either ....we must wait and see I suppose. |

Gil, do you think you could find the time to post the list of who supports who from the first post of FtW's old thread? It makes decoding the "we"s from people's posts
much
easier .
Oh, and Sandra; et voila.

Thanks Angel..you're an angel I just can't take to this villa/west ham red type colour in an Arsenal shirt. Maybe after a while I'll adjust.
I've put the list in the first post as requested..I dunno, these scots can be so sloppy at times except for Alys that is I have made one alteration though and put the elite at the top of the list |

With Viera leaving Arsenal, and Wright-Phillips going to Chelsea, IIRC, I would have to give Chelski the edge. But I am hardly an avid follower of the Premiership. |

The season's started and no one's posted about the games yet?
We haven't beaten Boro as we should have, but I was happy with our performance: we looked solid and we committed ourselves all the time so I think we're (hopefully) going to get less indifferent performances from the players this season. The movement and passing was fairly good and Boro were riding their luck: quite how Ray Parlour was still on the pitch after the first yellow card and two further bookable offences I don't know. Should have been down to nine after Ehiogu's straight red card. Still, when I recall how we used to struggle against Boro in the last few seasons, I'm happy that we were the better side even if the result wasn't quite right. |

That was very unfortunate for Wigan. They did deserve that point. It would have been really good.
On the happier note though, we WON, yipppppeeeee
I was so glad Rooney scored. But it seemed as if things were not pretty well between Gary and Phil. |

We're top of the league.
Don't think we achieved that at all last season.
OK, so it might only be for 24 hours at most.......
I entered a team in the Sun's fantasy league this year which gives me an added interest. |

The best bit about being an Arsenal fan is that we get to be league leaders for at least the first 90 minutes of each season. |
