Feel free to post what cd/albums you are purchased recently.Rock,Pop,Jazz,Latin,Classical Music,Progressive Rock,Metal-anything!Your own comments are wellcomed, but not compelled.Simple album-name and the name of the band is ok.

Maybe this would expance somebody's point of view-like me!

Mine:

Brown Album by Primus-quite original opus from this power trio

Demons and Wizards by Uriah Heep-very good classic heavy rock

Demons and Wizards - that one's a real classic. Cool

My latest acquisitions:

Neil Young: Harvest Moon
John Fogerty: Deja Vu All Over Again
Johnny Cash: At the Folsom Prison

MoME 2009 - the ultimate fun!

The Sons of Fëanor re-embodied in the beginning of the Fourth Age? Yes, for The Maedhros and Tygarya Saga – and, as fire-hearted as ever!

On my way to Morannon on the Walk to Rivendell and Beyond !

MoST 2010 - Congratulations to the winners!

The most recent one I got was The Information by Beck. I've just recently started getting interested in Beck after I got his album Guero. His music is very eclectic Big Grin
And before that I got Black Holes and Revelations by Muse. Also very good.

My recent purchase:

Get Behind Me Satan, by The White Stripes

A slightly off-putting title for a great album. Just don't look for the Stripes' well-known sound. In fact, expect the unexpected.

I'm interested to see why you find the title off-putting. Smile

A curious title perhaps, but the phrase 'Get behind me Satan' is from Scripture. Jesus says it to Peter. Smile

Anyhoo...recent purchases of mine:

-Good Monsters by Jars of Clay
-Awake by Josh Groban
-Phil Wickham's self-titled album

The third one is on its way to my house as we speak - can't wait to listen to it! Big Grin

I just bought "Dusk and Summer" by Dashboard Confessional. It was on the strength of one song, Reason to Believe , that I heard and loved straight away.

The album's ok, kind of modern soft American rock (the Gin Blossoms for the 21st century), but some of the songs get a bit 'samey'.

Ys by Joanna Newsom. She probably isn't familiar to most people here; she's a singer/songwriter whose music is VERY far from any Top Ten stuff!
