Erinhue!

Hedgehog friend, if my oliphantesque memory does not fail me. It feels good finding old acquaintances are still around when one comes back after a long slumber.

I must have saved a jug of excellent mead... let me check ! *rummage*

Ah, here it is. Let's break the neck and pass the mazer around.

Here's to you! And all others.

Took an earthquake to do it but it sure is good ta be home. The Danimal and I bummed around Peru for most of the summer. We went on a 20 day tour but me and the tour guid turned out ta be kindered spirits and we really hit it off and the upshot is me and Dan stayed until they kicked us out of the country. No its not what ya think, I was a good boy but the time on our visa ran out and we had ta pack up our llamas and head for home.

Good thing too because we got out about a week before the big one hit the area we had been in for a good part of the time. Heck we had been in that church that collapsed just a few days before we left for home. Traveling around in a third world nation sure puts a lot of things into perspective and the trip did us both a world of good, it really was a good time too.

Now I got this notion in my head that it would be symbolic or make some kind of statement if I had two of them gold rings above m'name Once I get Dan settled down to the school routine again, ( can ya beleive he is in the second grade this year  ) I think Im gonna have to do something about that notion, so I'll be seeing ya all around until ya get gut bucket sick of me.

Oh yeah, the line ta buy the bard a beer starts forming on the left

To the left, you say? *stands in the ever growing line* Hail, great weaver of the tapestry of songs and tales! I doubt we have met before, but seeing the reaction your return had on the large of TORC's population, you seem to be a one of a kind person, and it would be my honour to make your acquaintance. Seeing as I seem to be somewhat addicted to the board, I shouldn't be too hard to track down ;) May Elbereth's stars ever shine brightly over you and your dear ones!

Welcome home!!!!

Peru, eh?
Sounds like an interesting trip. Glad you had an enlightening yet fun trip.
That little boy is lucky. And seven? Already?!
Careful, before you know it, he'll be 17 and looking for the car keys.

As for garnering your second ring, MoME is starting up. I'm sure there's a spot waiting your talents. Though I would be well advised not to let Tooks or Gamgee Wench know you were amongst llamas.

So belly up, brother, your brew's are a waitin' ya.

Good to see you posting, Hue, and glad to hear you had such a great time with Danimal this summer.

We will see you next week then dear bard! May have to get a fresh keg for you by then though. :P

It is soooo great to see children born and grow. My daughter is an adult now but the memories awakened are such that I hold on to them dearly and write them down so I can remember evermore. One can never have too many remebrances and photos of their children. Trips to Peru and walks in the park are the golden moments that will shine through the years.

Darnit, I knew I should've popped by Welcome more often...

Welcome back, Hue! Good luck this week, we'll keep your seat warm and mugs of beer waiting for you.

I think it's been an eventful summer for everyone around here, one way or another... I started grad school last month, in history, and am loving it when it's not killing me.
